Restaurant Inspections

Ever wonder about those restaurant grades? Why your favorite spot scored an “A”—or a “C”? All retail food facilities in the county—from five-star eateries to street-corner taco trucks—are inspected and graded by the Department of Public Health. Explore our database for detailed information on places that made the grade or didn’t.

Housing For Health Programs

In 2012, DHS established Housing for Health as a division dedicated to developing and managing programs and services for people who are homeless. This storyboard provides insights to the programs status.

Homeless Initiative Performance Outcomes

Deputy Involved Shootings

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department believes in being forthcoming regarding our activities and policing efforts. Transparency allows honest analysis related to the quality of our work and builds trust within the communities we serve. This approach also opens up dialogue to ensure certain concerns, crime trends, and needed corrective action is being applied in a fair and impartial manner.

Countywide Prevention Metrics

Countywide Prevention Metrics (CPM) is a standardized set of metrics to track our progress in achieving the goal of the Countywide Prevention Plan for every child to be healthy, to be growing and thriving in a strong family, and to be supported by a safe and nurturing community. CPM was developed by Los Angeles County Office of Child Protection (OCP) and the Los Angeles County Chief Information Office (CIO), in partnership with County department partners, First 5 LA, USC's Children's Data Network, and other key stakeholders.

Los Angeles County’s 2.3 million residential and commercial properties span 4,080 square miles, including 88 cities and numerous unincorporated communities.
